Showtime! Delighted to put some extra smiles on the kids faces at the end of my International Tournament. A joy to play with Soufian Touzani, Khalid Boulahrouz and my son Shaqueel against the winners, Anderlecht and Zenit.

Looking back on glorious football days at the International RVP Tournament. I enjoyed watching the boys play and see their love for football already at this young age. You can see they have a dream and they are working hard on achieving that dream. Nice to see that age doesn’t matter in football, young and old come together and share their passion. Boys and girls , coaches and parents, and lots of volunteers came this weekend and gave their best to make this an unforgettable event again! Anderlecht and Zenit boys have had their first touch of ‘Champions League’ football: the tune in the final and then the cup. Well done to everybody participating and i am pleased all the teams enjoyed it. A big thank you to you all! ❤️⚽️

Looking forward to my International Tournament on June 15 & 16 in Maassluis. So many great U9 and U10 teams from all over Europe and other continents, 24 teams in total. From Paris (PSG) to Toronto, and from my first clubs in Rotterdam to the Premier League. Can’t wait to see you all and can’t wait to play against the winners!

On Sunday I played my last professional game. Looking back on a 17 year career I can only say it has been a wonderful journey. With ups-and-downs, but thankfully with many precious and unforgettable memories. Proud to have played for great clubs and for my country. It was a privilege. I would like to thank my managers and team mates, and the fans that have supported me and my family over the years. I am going to miss the game, but am looking forward to the next chapter in my life. ⚽️❤️
